All Hail the Warrior

Using regular calipers can sometimes be a difficult task because you are the one responsible for reading the results and doing so correctly. I’ve found a body mass caliper that takes out all the work in reading your results. Sequoia Fitness has created a product called the Warrior that is a first of its kind.  This product calculates lean body mass and body fat percentage, while keeping track of your last use results. This feature helps you keep track of the progress you are making, and its all done digitally. You would think that a product like this would be listed in the $75-$100 range but at www.supplementcentral.com you can find this product listed as low as $21.95. Try it for yourself today!

Delicious Protein Bars

At the gym I lift at they have a juice bar that sells a variety of protein bars. I’ve never really gotten into eating protein bars due to the fact that get most of my post-workout protein from RTD protein shakes, but I decided to give a couple bars a chance because of the good press they had been getting around the gym. I bought 1 Chocolate Crisp Steel Bar made by ABB and 1 Apple Cinnamon Zone Perfect Bar made by EAS. I have to admit that before I tried both of these bars I figured that the taste would be very bland and chalky like many protein bars I’ve tried in the past. To my surpise both of these protein bars tasted so good! Another great thing is that the Steel Bar contains 18 grams of protein and the Zone Perfect Bar contains 14 grams of protein. Both bars are great ways to get protein intake after your workout, and at the same time very enjoyable to eat.

Protein for College Athletes

As I’m sure most of you know the regulations that are put on college athletes are long and sometimes baffling. There are very limited amounts of supplements that an athlete can take without getting into trouble with the governing bodys of their sports. The NCAA puts bans on products with too much caffeine, hoodia, gurana, and many other stimulants that products could have hidden without the athlete knowing. I have known many athletes who have taken a certain supplement and when later tested in their playoffs and/or championship series had to sit out because they unknowingly took a banned substance. Don’t let this kind of inconveinence happen to you. Cytosport’s Muscle Milk Collegiate is in full compliance with the committee on competitive safeguards and medical aspects of sports standards and contains no banned substances. Not only is it safe, but it also tastes great. With the physical strain an athlete puts on the body it is imperative that the muscles be replenished with protein after workouts. Muscle Milk Collegiate comes in 6 flavors which makes it easy to find one that fits your preference. Give it a try, you can’t afford not to!

If your like me I’m sure you want to eat healthy but don’t want to have to do so while sacrificing taste. Luckily there is a snack out there that gives you both protein and fiber and at the same time tastes great! GeniSoy Soy Crisps is a delicious snack that you need to try out whether your looking to eat healthy or if your just looking for a snack that tastes great. They come in 7 different flavors which make it hard not to find a taste that fits your liking and come in a 12 pack.

I also found a brand that is very similar in taste called Glenny’s Low Fat Soy Crisps. They come in 10 different flavors and come in a 24 pack. Whether you choose to go with GeniSoy or Glenny’s you will find that the tastes are delicious and the prices are very fair.

New Bar on the Block

I love the the taste of the the Original Detour Bar Carmel Peanut it’s as close as you can get to a snickers bar. Then the came out with a Lower Sugar version still tasted great. Now for you gym rats looking to stay lean and need something on the go they came out with a Detour Lean Muscle Bar. I tried one as a snack a couple hours after breakfast and thought how can this be good for you I tasted awesome. If you have a sweet tooth maybe you should give this a try it’s a healthy alternative to the random chocolate bar.
